The AHSAA has updated the Spring Sports Book on 4/18 with one major change -- a new line has been added. For the second time in as many years the qualifying method for the 4x400m Relay at sectionals has changed.
Note: In all classes, the top two teams from each section, plus eight wild cards will qualify for the 4 x 400. Only 16 teams will qualify instead of 24.
You might remember last year we split the field on two different days. This year we remove a heat of relays and avoid any teams purposefully qualifying in the slow heat by forcing the team run fast or risk not qualifying. The announcement this late in the season is bound to change many teams strategy. Let's hear your thoughts!
