Abby Nunnelly & Savannah Williams
Despite both girls living in North Alabama, Alexandria Junior Abby Nunnelly and Lawrence County 7th Grader Savannah Williams have only gone head to head once this season. That race took place at Jesse Owens where Williams finished ahead of Nunnelly by 15 seconds. Nunnelly does however have the faster overall time this season posting a 19:38 at sectionals. This will be a fun race to watch play out.....the seasoned athlete against the 7th Grade challenger in her first ever state meet.
