The dynamic duo of Chauncy Smart and Tariq Evans return to the state of Alabama two weeks after making their marks on the Galleria Games. Training under the team name, "The Empire", the pair hope to strike back with more meet records and moving their names up the indoor national leaderboard at this weekend's USATF Indoor Hoover Alumni Invitational which will be LIVE on MileSplit. Eric Kidd caught up with them at a recent workout at Lake Minneola to see how they are preparing.
Smart, the 3A runner-up in the 200 last season, will compete in the 60m dash and 200m dash. Evans, one of the most versatile athletes in the country drops the triple jump this weekend to focus on the 60, 200, and 400m dash.
