Senior Sendoff - Brannon Bellar - Weaver High School

Athlete Name: Brannon Bellar

School: Weaver High School

What was your most memorable meet and why? The Gadsden City meet was the most memorable to me because that's when I realized that I was actually good enough to compete with higher level competition

Where did you face your biggest competition? .Most definitely state is were I came in contact with some great competition.

Out of all of your high school accomplishments which stands out the most and why? Out of all of my high school accomplishments, Placing 3rd at state in the 400 meter dash my senior year is the iine that sticks out the most to me because I've worked so hard to get there and I finally got a medal at state.

If you could do it all over again what would you change about your running career in high school? if I could do it all over again, I would change the fact that I'm so hard headed and listen to my coaches more. Coach knows best. Also watch out for shot puts at the State Meet!!!

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?my freshman year I made it to state in the 400 meter dash and I was the low man on the totem pole, but it opened my eyes to all of the competition

What will you miss the most?I will miss the competition and the competitive nature of running Track

Do you have any advice for younger athletes? Shout out to my bro London Knight, my advice to you is to keep pushing forward and not give up. You'll be a state champion in no time.

What are your post-highschool or college plans? After high school i plan on joining the United States Marine Corps.

Who would you like to say thank you to? I would like to say thank you to my track Coach Marcus Herbert. Thanks for letting me try new events and soon realize what I needed to stay with.
