Information Sheet:
* The Southeastern Relays is the Gulf Coasts oldest prep track & field meet!


Date: Fri March 24- Sat March 25, 2017
Site:University of South Alabamas Jaguar Track Facility
Parking: All Vehicles should park in the Gamma Parking lot located north of the track facility.
NO Vehicles should park between in the Mitchell Center parking lot or in between the Mitchell Center and track facility.

Entry Fee:$75 per team(Gender) $150 per school (boys & girls). Please make checks payable to:

Entries:This is a Varsity Invitational Competition. Our goal is to run a high quality competition. Therefore, each school will be limited to 1 relay team per event. Field event and Hurdle races will consist of a two person relay. A third entry may be allowed. However, only 2 athletes per field and hurdle will score. Performances will be combined for team score. Please NO requests for B teams or JV participants.

Admission: $5 per adult; $3 per student

Awards:
Team Trophies 1st and 2nd Place Girls and Boys Division
T-shirts for Top Relay Teams in each event.
Richmond Brown Outstanding Performance Award

Dressing: There will be no dressing rooms or showers; however, portable restrooms are available.

Spikes: 1/8 to only!

Concessions: There will be full concessions sold.

Scratches: Any scratches or other changes must be received by Thursday,23rd hby Midnight; E-mailkevinjones@docrx.com

There will be a charge for late entries or changes payable to Kevin Jones.
Stay behind Fence: For some field events a Coaches box will be available. However, please inform athletes not competing and other spectators to stay behind the perimeter fence. Individuals jumping the fence may be ejected from the competition. PLEASE TELL YOUR ATHLETES NOT TO JUMP THE FENCE.

Scoring: 10 8 6 5 4 3 2 1
- Field events are scored as relays with the distance of your 2 entries best mark added together for a total distance. The hurdle races must have 2 runners with their times added together to score.

Trainers are requested to bring their own tape for ankle wraps.

Results will be posted on Alabama Runners.

Friday

3:45PM Implement Certification begins (If possible please drop off all your implements (discs, and shots, on Friday to expedite the process for Saturday morning)

4:30 PM Implement certification closes /Discus warm-up begins.

5:00 PM FIELD EVENTS
HJ Girls First followed 30 min later by boys (must have 2 athletes for relay score)
Discus Girls first followed 30 min later by boys (must have 2 athletes for relay score)

5:15 RUNNING EVENTS
3200 (Girls followed by Boys) May enter 3 athletes. Top 2 entries combined time will determine relay place.

Saturday
FIELD EVENTS (Warm-ups begin 30 minutes prior to the event)
8:15 AM Throws Implement Certification in track garagePlease arrive early to avoid delays!!

9:15 AM Throws Implement Certification ends.

9:00 AM Long Jump followed by Triple jump. (must have 2 athletes for relay score)
Boys east runway. Girls west runway. (must have 2 athletes for relay score)

9:15 AM Girls Pole vault followed by boys (must have 2 athletes for relay score)

9:30AM Girls Shot Put followed by Boys Shot Put (must have 2 athletes for relay score)

9:15 AM 100/110m Hurdles (Girls followed by Boys: must have 2 athletes for relay score)
4x800 (Girls followed by Boys)
300m Hurdles (Girls followed by boys: must have 2 athletes for relay score)
4x100 (Girls followed by boys)
Distance Medley (Boys: 800-400-1200-1600)
4x200 (Girls followed by boys)
Sprint Medley (Girls followed by boys: 200-200-400-800)
Distance Medley (Girls: 800-400-1200-1600)
4x400 (Girls followed by boys)

Athletes in the horizontal jumps and throws will receive 4 attempts (no finals).
Shot Put & Discus throws may be taken two at time to expedite the competition (2 + 2).
First legal attempt will be measured regardless of distance. After first legal attempt, all efforts must meet the minimum standard to be measured.
