Meet Information
It was, perhaps, the greatest prep track and field meet the Mobile, Alabama area has ever seen. Over 100 state championships and 15 High School All-Americans were represented in Saturday\'s Invitational Division of the Dannon Yogurt-Winn Dixie Meet of Champions.
Seventeen meet records were broken at St. Paul\'s E.E. Dulaney Stadium. The two headliners--Riviera Beach Suncoast\'s Erica Whipple and Owensboro, Ky\'s Casey Combest performed to expectations--with Whipple running a blazing anchor leg on the 400-meter relay, and setting meet records in the 100 (10.94 seconds) and 22.93 in the 200, and Combest besting the 100-meter field with a 10.06 hand clocking.
