Mobile County Track Meet 4/15-4/16
Lightening
There is limited shelter available at our facilities. As always please use your best judgment with the safety of your athletes. Please do not wait until the last minute to move to the safety of your vehicles. If lightening poses an immediate danger please move to the following locations:
a) Buses/Personal Vehicles = if you are in the bleachers
b) Field House = very limited space only for use by those athletes and officials in the clerking/timing area.
c) Gym Lower Locker Room = if you are in the concession or javelin/discus area.
Please do not go to any other area of the school.
Delaying and Resuming of Events
1) If events are delayed for later in the same day, an announcement will be made that the meet is rain delayed. Events will resume within 10 minutes of the announcement to resume, and the order of events will likely not be modified.
2) If events are postponed to a later date, an announcement will be made that the remainder of the meet is postponed and the days events will postponed to a later date. In this event, there may be changes to the order of events, and the changes will be posted on al.milesplit.com as soon as they are decided.
3) If you text @mobilemeet to 81010 you will get text alerts on when al.milesplit.com has been updated regarding changes to the meet schedule.
Possible Schedule Alterations
1) Preliminary events may be omitted. In this case, the originally scheduled preliminaries would be run as final sections on time.
2) Any Wednesday field events not completed on Wednesday will be completed on Thursday. Any Wednesday or Thursday field event not completed on Thursday will be moved to Friday, Saturday, or as a last resort Monday.
3) If there are any track events that are not completed Wednesday they will be completed on Thursday and the schedule will be altered to best accommodate athletes. The alteration will depend which events are left to be completed and every effort will be made to allow adequate rest.
