How many times must an athlete compete in their event prior to sectionals in order for them to be eligible to compete in that event at sectionals?

I was also wondering the same thing and do their results from those meets have to be posted on milesplit? Some of the teams in our section don't have results posted from any meets so how would they prove they have ran any meets?

The Spring 2012 Sports Book is pretty clear on this subject. On page 5, under "The Championship Program," it states: A school must compete in at least two meets prior to the section meets. There is no requirement for individual participation prior to the Sectional Meet. However, each team may enter only three participants in any single event and only one relay team in any relay event.
