Im new in running. I'm 5'4 115 lbs. I get a 19:46 on a 5k. Tracks coming up and i need to know what event would be best for me.
- @Jacoba17 When I was coaching, I would have my team do a ten day decathlon where each day each team memeber would compete in one event from the decathlon. I would then use the results to determine where each athlete could help the team the most. If you are not on the team you can run time trials in each event on seperate days and compare the results to your competion by using the Milesplit rankings and results.
- @throwsguru thank you ive been told im good at 400 and 800m so what would be a good time to get?
That depends on your level of competition. 6A times are vastly different from 1A times generally. I would need to know your age, grade, your school's division and even what area of the state you are competing. A good source again is the results and rankings at the top of the Milesplit page. Pick out athletes from your division and your grade level and compare your time to their's. Good Luck.
