Following a national search, Huntingdon College has announced Nate Rucker as the coach of its newly created Mens/Womens Cross Country team. Rucker has spent the last six seasons climbing the coaching ranks, spending the last year as the head cross country and assistant track and field coach at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Mo. Rucker’s primary responsibilities with the Eagles included recruiting of student-athletes, organizing practices, fundraising activities and management of all home contests, including the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) Cross Country Championships and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Region V Cross Country Championship. He also spent the 2005-06 season as an assistant coach with the cross country and track and field programs at CMU.During his tenure with the Eagles, Rucker coached numerous individual and team HAAC Champions, as well as had several student-athletes qualify for the NAIA National Championships.A DIII school, Huntingdon is currently seeking athletes for its new program (with plans to add track in 2008.)
