Jax State Selected for OVC Football Telecasts

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Jacksonville State has been selected for a pair of television broadcasts on the OVC Football “Game of the Week”, which will be produced by Wazoo Sports.

The Gamecocks road games at Eastern Kentucky on Nov. 6, and at Tennessee Tech on Nov. 20 will both be shown on the regional television network.

The Wazoo Sports Network will begin airing the "Game of the Week" starting in September and running through November.

"Wazoo Sports is excited once again to partner with the OVC to bring college football fans the best OVC Conference matchups," said Jeff Sheppard, Wazoo Sports Vice President of Business Development and former University of Kentucky Wildcat MVP.

"Television is important for the visibility of the Ohio Valley Conference," said OVC Commissioner Beth DeBauche. "The OVC has many good stories to tell and we hope through this football TV package and partnership with Wazoo we are able to share our stories throughout the Conference footprint."

A complete list of the stations and affiliates outside the Wazoo Sports Network coverage area that will broadcast the games will be released in August.

The 10-game schedule will feature every OVC school at least twice during the season.

The OVC "Game of the Week" Schedule is as follows:
Sept. 18 - Austin Peay at Tennessee State, 6:00 p.m. CT
Sept. 25 - UT Martin at Murray State, 6:00 p.m. CT
Oct. 2 - Southeast Missouri at Eastern Illinois, 1:30 p.m. CT
Oct. 9 - Eastern Illinois at Eastern Kentucky, 6:00 p.m. CT
Oct. 16 - Southeast Missouri at Austin Peay, 6:00 p.m. CT
Oct. 23 - Tennessee Tech at Tennessee State, 6:00 p.m. CT
Oct. 30 - Murray State at Eastern Kentucky, 2:00 p.m. CT
Nov. 6 - Jacksonville State at Eastern Kentucky, 6:00 p.m. CT
Nov.13 - Tennessee State at UT Martin, 6:00 p.m. CT
Nov. 20 - Jacksonville State at Tennessee Tech, 6:00 p.m. CT

The Ohio Valley Conference is currently in its 63rd year and continues to build on the success that has made it the nation's eighth-oldest NCAA Division I Conference.
