NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Jacksonville State women's tennis team stayed perfect in Ohio Valley Conference play with a 7-0 win over Tennessee State at Tiger Tennis Courts on Saturday.

JSU swept the three doubles matches for a 1-0 lead heading into singles. Viviane Marani and Martina Dessbesell won 8-1 over Meagan Haynes and Penelope Johnson at No. 1. Kimberly Ferris and Ralphaela Lima won at No 2 over LIa Stewart and Kryston Mason, 8-0. Kristen Fuller and Rafaela Wenzel completed the sweep with an 8-0 win over Lezlie Knight and Kwatema Mensah at No. 3.

Marani won 6-2, 6-2 over Haynes at No. 1 and Dessbesell won 6-0, 6-0 against Stewart at No. 2. Ferris blanked Johnson 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 and Wenzel defeated Mason 6-0, 6-1. Julianna Renesto blasted Knight 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 and Lima upended Williams 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6.

Jacksonville State travels to take Murray State on Thursday at 10 a.m. in Murray, Ky.
