Demopolis High School

What was your most memorable meet and why?
Ashleigh Ivory Demopolis High School My most memorable meet would by my freshman year when our 4x100 won state. This is most memorable because I took a hard tumble while handing off the baton.

Where did you face your biggest competition?
I faced my biggest competition this year during indoor season when the Georgia girls traveled over to compete in the Birmingham Crossplex.

Out of all of your high school accomplishments, which stands out the most and why?
Out of all my accomplishments, receiving MVP at the Sectionals meet stand out the most because it showed how hard work and dedication pays off.

If you could do it all over again, what would you change about your running career in high school?
If I could do it all again I would change my freshman and sophomore year because I didn't take it as seriously as I should have. The most difficult obstacle was to be confident in hurdles due to falling multiple times.

What will you miss the most?
I will miss my coaches the most because they have grown to know me and how I work The advice I have for younger people is to take everything you do seriously because there is always someone looking up to you even if you don't know it.

What are your post-highschool or college plans?
My post high school plan is to double major at UAB in finance and accounting and manage a company once I graduate.

Who would you like to say thank you to?
I you like to say thanks to the teachers, my coaches, Mrs. Pearson and Darnesha Harris for having more faith in me at times that I didn't have any at all. They have really helped me tremendously!
