Tuesday afternoon, University officials announced the meet was cancelled. Sun Belt rentals, who the University of Montevallo had contracted their lights from, was asked to send their lights to the Houston, TX, area. With the majority of races at Montevallo occurring after dark, any chance of a meet is gone.
While we are sad the meet is cancelled (it is one of the best every season) we applaud the efforts of the University to help with cleanup of the areas affected by Hurricane Harvey.
At this time, most meets this weekend are closed with only a few still open for entry. Check over on the CALENDAR page to try and get your team in another meet.
