Last Ditch Leap Lands Noah Igbinoghene At All Conditions US No. 2 in Triple Jump

Hewitt-Trussville (AL) High's Noah Igbinoghene became the third high school boy to go over 50 feet in the triple jump on Saturday ... and he did it on his home turf.

The senior triple jumper went 50-4 on his final attempt -- after two fouls that landed marks at 52 feet -- to set a new personal best and land a new all-conditions US No. 2 mark at the Hewitt-Trussville Invitational in Alabama.

Fort Boswell (Tx.) High's Jalen Seals currently leads the nation with an all conditions effort of 50-6, which took place in February.

Better yet, Igbinoghene, who also won the 100m dash in 11.01 seconds, landed the jump just seconds before his sister, Hope, finished second in the 200m dash on the girls side.
